Kat "Vysala" Quinn began playing Final Fantasy XI in November 2003 just after the US PC release. Cooking became the craft she loved most in the game and her experience inspired her to create the FFXICooking.com project. Kat is responsible for the concept and all of the written content on the site.

Kat has worked in web industry professionally and personally for over ten years. She is the creator of Mystic Fortress, a personal website online for over ten years, about virtual pets, Tamagotchi, Aibo and some of her other hobbies. The Tamagotchi Planet section of Mystic Fortress has been discussed worldwide in newspapers online and in print at various times of the Tamagotchi popularity. Kat has also been a Search Engine Consultant and Beta Tester on her husbands' website d20Resources.com.

Artist
Brendan "Lord Monkey" Quinn started playing FFXI back in 2003, but quit a few months after the patch that destroyed BST. Before leaving though, he had nearly every job up to 30, as well as 4 past 50. All of his crafts were at at least 60 and he had Woodworking and Alchemy past 70.

Brendan designed the site, and drew the pic of Vysala in the upper-left corner of every page. He's been programming websites professionally for nearly a decade and is starting to hack his way through the more creative aspects of the field. His current major personal project is http://www.d20resources.com a resource for people interested in using the d20 Open Content rules and content for their table-top rpgs.
